What a big day that was! Surprisingly, I didn’t have the sad, anxious feelings that I had when my first born started kindergarten. In fact, I think I was more excited for this day than she was! She missed the deadline by one day last year, ONE DAY!, so they would not let her start school. Let’s just say we had all been waiting for this day for awhile! Over the past year she developed a love for learning to read like her big sister, math and all things academic. That being said, she will more than likely advance right on to the big 1st grade from what her teacher tells us! We are just so proud of her and think it is the best choice possible since, in my opinion, is where she should be anyway (those deadline things just bug!). She loves school, wishes she could ride the bus, and absolutely cannot wait till she can eat school lunch. YAY FOR SOPHIE!!!!
In other news, she is also a rock star when it comes to Karate!!! A few months ago she advanced to the older aged kids class (bad grammar, I know) and has been working hard for her upcoming competition and the belt test. Well my friends, she did it again! Belt test was last Friday and on Monday she jumped 6 belts again and was awarded her purple belt for that division! Can you tell I am a little proud?! You go girl!!
Aaaaaand, one more thing…….TODAY my little lady turned 6!!!! She is just the light of my life and makes my heart ooze love and adoration like no other! We have to go to karate tonight, but after we plan on chinese food and mani’s and pedi’s with Grandma, Bella, and Aunt Tina. How freakin’ fun!!! Happy Birthday babe!
