Just for fun…

I know I have said it before, but I really love how I see beauty in all my surroundings now that I have become a photographer.  Weeds, old doors, light, it all stands out to me now.  We went camping last weekend in Mantua with some friends and headed out to go fishing.  Of course I had my camera, just with my 50mm attached, and I took some photos from the window of my car.  This is an old barn on the way around the lake.  I love the gray blue color in the barn, and the textures of the old rickety fence around it.  I was really pleased with how it turned out SOOC because we were driving pretty fast and I just kinda noticed the barn, hoped to God my settings were right in camera, and shot the photo.  The clouds. Those are an entirely different picture.  The clouds were also a photo I shot from my car while in Montana back in March. They don’t call Montana “Big Sky” for nothin’.  That place has some of the most amazing, moody skies that I have ever seen. I was editing last night and sorta needed something to break the boring cycle I felt like I was in so I started to creatively play around with some photos in hopes of getting some sort of inspiration.  I will add that this particular edit was inspired by a friend/photographer, Michelle Kane.  She is a brilliant artist and her style shines through in all that she does.  So here is what I did, and you can see the 2 SOOC photos that I manipulated in Photoshop to get the finished product.
